Instructions: Get people into small groups of 3–5 people and let them work through one of sending narrative passages:
- Matthew 10.1–20
- Mark 6.7–13, 30–32
- Luke 9.1-6, 10
- Luke 10.1-24
In each group, study the passage and write down the scriptural precedents and the transferable principles that they derive from the passage:
1) What did Jesus command the apostles to do?
2) How do we apply these biblical principles today?
Let each group report on their findings and compare notes. Take time to help participants evaluate the changes they need to make in their own strategies.
