Instructions: Provide time for participants to brainstorm a list of cultural and social rules of their country or people group. Be sure they aren't merely thinking of laws on the books, but particularly of the unwritten rules that tend to guide people's behaviors.
Then have them prayerfully consider their lists and identify the rules they may have to break in order to communicate the gospel message, make disciples, and plant new churches among those people.
This discussion can be accompanied by a study of ways that Jesus, the apostles, or others in the New Testament era handled rules that may have otherwise hindered them, and any consequences that followed.
