People Movement

A movement where many people become followers of Jesus at around the same time, due to interactions within that group.

This is not to be confused with mass conversion, where many people simply come to Christ at the same time.  A people movement involves people making individual decisions to follow Jesus, but through the influence of the group, family, tribe, or village of which they are a part.  As such, it is sometimes defined as a "multi-individual, mutually interdependent conversion experience."
