Instructions: Accountablity is a difficult subject for many people in western cultures. We stress that accountability is vital in disciple-making, but that it must be affirming whenever possible. This article is a wonderful illustration that highlights positive accountability.
In making disciples, we should be seeking ways to cheer people on for doing the right things. If they do not obey Jesus, or are sinning, we follow the pattern given by Jesus in Matthew 18.15-18 where we approach them first in private.
