The Romans Road
(Practical Skill)

⤷ FOUR STAGES: Gospel Witness
Attender—Advancement

5 min

The Romans Road is an evangelism tool that has been around for decades.  It uses several key verses from the epistle to the Romans (hence the name) to communicate the essential points of the gospel message.

An alternative plan that will appeal more to those of the Catholic or Orthodox faith is the Peter Pathway.

Instructions:

The Romans Road consists of five verses which are easy to memorize.  These can be shared one by one verbally, or by paging through the book of Romans to show the person with whom you are sharing the gospel.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10.13
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
